What we are

Technical, partnership-led, deeply pan-African

AfriTPAD is a technical and partnership platform working across Africa to develop the tourism sector from the ground up. We sit between tourism MSMEs and community enterprises on one side, and the funders, governments, mentors and institutions that shape the sector on the other.

We are not a generic training provider. We design and run targeted interventions grounded in enterprise diagnostics, market realities and the lived experience of African operators.

Why we exist

Tourism is growing — opportunity isn't evenly shared

International arrivals to Africa reached around 81 million in 2025, an 8% increase year-on-year and the fastest regional growth in the world. Travel and tourism contribute close to 7% of Africa's GDP and around 5% of jobs.

Yet many tourism MSMEs operate informally, with thin margins, weak access to finance, limited digital presence, and products that do not yet meet evolving market expectations. AfriTPAD exists to close that gap — with structured mentorship, market access, finance readiness, and digital tools, anchored in partnerships that unlock scale.

Our pan-African mandate

One sector. One continent. Many partners.

Our long-term vision

An African tourism sector that is inclusive, sustainable, and proudly led from within the continent.

By 2030, coastal and related tourism alone could add more than £79.6 billion to African economies and create approximately 28 million jobs. AfriTPAD's role is to make sure those jobs and that growth reach women, youth, communities, and small enterprises across every region of the continent.
